Points of interest

There are two museums to visit on the island. One in the village of Lingua is filled with historical artifacts exhibiting the long-standing traditions of Salina.

The other is in the village of Malfa, and it tells the history of the island people.

Also in Malfa, is a botanical museum which boasts the islands many flora.

Pollara Bay is a short drive from the hotel, and has steps down to the beach, where you can enjoy a dip, or a view of the magnificent sunset.

In 1994, the movie ‘Il Postino’ was filmed at this location with famouse actors Philippe Noiret, Maria Grazia Cucinotta and….

This was the final film for renowned Italian actor Massimo Troisi. During the filming, all of the stars and crew stayed here at Hotel Signum.
